HEY PARENTS!
Camp Colossal is here and we’re excited to host your kids. We’ve been busy preparing Olympic-sized fun for them at every turn!
Here’s some important information to help make your child’s time at Camp Colossal the best fun possible.
THE BASICS
What to wear: Comfortable clothes that are easy to move in and may get a bit dirty after a day of activity.
What to bring: A backpack with a packed morning tea and lunch, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, any necessary medications (these should be presented at check-in with your child’s name and clear instructions for leaders).
What not to bring: Personal belongings that are likely to get lost (toys, treasures, trinkets, electronics or money).
CHECK IN
A parent/caregiver is required to check-in your child each day. They will be checked-in at the campus at which they first arrive. They will be assigned their ‘nation’ at this time. If you are checking in at our Brisbane campus, check in is open from 7:30am.
Logan Bus: Please arrive at the main doors on the Kingston Road side of the premises. Check in anytime from 7.30 – 7.55am (general supervision will be provided in M5 during this time). We will begin loading passengers from 8am and will leave the premises at 8.15am. Your emergency contact number is: Renae – 0423 420 139.
Moreton Bus: Check in anytime from 7.30 – 7.55am (general supervision will be provided in the Plaza during this time). We will begin loading passengers from 7:50am and will leave the premises at 8.00am. Your emergency contact number is: Tim – 0432 991 268.
Ipswich Bus: Check in at Springfield Lakes anytime from 7.30 – 7.55am (general supervision will be provided. We will begin loading passengers from 8am and will leave the premises at 8.15am. Your emergency contact number is: Melanie – 0409 890 328.
CHECK OUT
Each bus will load passengers to depart at the end of programming at 3pm. Traffic dependent, each bus expects to be at its campus by:
Logan – 3.45pm
Moreton – 4:00pm
Ipswich – 3:45pm
For parents picking children up from Brisbane, please pick up by 4:00pm.
PROGRAM
In keeping with our Olympic theme, each child will be assigned to one of four nations, however they will remain with their same-aged peers during the rotational activities. There will also be plenty of time for fun and interaction during our eating breaks. Each day’s programming will roughly follow the schedule below:
